PeerBerry Platform Analysis
Last Update (01.11.2019)
PeerBerry is another short-term loan platform that presents lower interest rates and the limitations that lead me to reduce my positions on other platforms. For those that want to learn the reasons why I’m avoiding this type of P2P platform, please find information on the image below.
PeerBerry is owned and operated by Aventus Group. It’s a very successful and healthy company from 2009 with +300 employees and +10 years of experience as a loan originator. They actually started offering loans at Mintos, but instead, they chose to start their own platform.
I started my investments at PeerBerry in February 2019 and was immediately impressed with the very simple style and easy to understand the interface of the P2P lending platform. I must confess also that after the initial month of investment none of the loans had paid on time, each was a surprise.
However, all loans in PeerBerry have a 100% buyback guarantee (if the lender can not pay, the loan company repurchases the debt). No risk rating is available, but some general background information about the borrower is offered.
The availability of loans is fine but there is no secondary market. On the other hand, most of the loans in PeerBerry are short-term, so you don’t get stuck in some years of commitment.
Creating a PeerBerry investor account is easy and adding funds to your account is surprisingly quick.
